Attending Staff: DeathCom, TakagiNaoSama, JT, Aer, Wisp

Con staff
(Our experiences with the convention staff overall, including event coordinators, press heads, and of course security.)
Youmacon really knows how to treat their guests. Many thanks go to Nicolai and the other kind staff members who worked with us and did whatever they could to help.

Hotel & Hotel staff
(The quality of the hotel, ease of check-in, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.)
The hotel was very helpful all weekend and worked with us to get us everything we asked for.

Gameroom
(The size of the room, number of machines/consoles, location, and overall presentation of the gameroom.)
Decent for a convention of that size. Hours were good, but things tended to be crammed together. Only needs slight improvement.
Average Score: 80%


Dealer's Room
(The size of the room, number of merchants, variety of merchandise, hours of operation, location, lighting, etc.)
Appropriate for the con's size. The usual dealers, but that's not a bad thing.
Average Score: 80%


Artist Alley
(The location and size of the alley, placement of the artists, variety of art, etc.)
A little cramped, but good location for an AA, good variety of artists and good atmosphere.
Average Score: 80%


Masquerade Talent
(The quality of the skits themselves. The variety, innovation, fresh content, and entertainment value of the show overall.)
Not the greatest masquerade, but decent for a con of Youmacon's size. A couple concepts and ideas I hadn't seen before. Too much Naruto though.
Average Score: 75%


Masquerade Technical
(Just about every aspect of the masquerade except the actual skits. The MC, technical, judging, timing, etc. Basically everything the convention staff had control over.)
Needs a cosplayer for MC. Definite thumbs up for actual trophies! I don't remember any huge tech glitches, so good job! XD

Overall
(This is our entire con experience including all of the above and everything else that goes into a con weekend combined.)
Overall we loved Youmacon! A great staff and great hotel makes for a really fun convention for us! The hotel had good locations for photoshoots both inside and out so definite points for that! We are already looking forward to next year :)
