Anime Central 2007 on DCM: June 13th, 2007

Convention staff:
(Our experiences with the convention staff overall, including event coordinators, press heads, and of course security.)
The ACen "IRT" didn't get in our way as much as we expected, which was a pleasant surprise.
Average Score: 85%

Hotel & Hotel staff:
(The quality of the hotel, ease of check-in, and the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff.)
Our hotel experience was among the worst we've ever had. It's only saving feature was the fact that we were able to get tables and chairs for our booth with little trouble.
Average Score: 37%

Masquerade Technical:
(Just about every aspect of the masquerade except the actual skits. The MC, technical, judging, timing, etc. Basically everything the convention staff had control over.)
The actual tech crew did everything perfectly. The reason the score is so low is because these were the first walkons that were actual painful to watch, and the first ones that actual had to be specially edited because it was such a failure! (the technical part of it, not the costumers themselves)
Average Score: 48%

Masquerade Talent:
(The quality of the skits themselves. The variety, innovation, fresh content, and entertainment value of the show overall.)
There was nothing epic, which is strange for AnimeCentral, but there was nothing overly terrible.
Average Score: 79%

Gameroom:
(The size of the room, number of machines/consoles, location, and overall presentation of the gameroom.)
While the size of the gameroom was a little small for the size of the convention (especially considering this was its 10th year) it still had variety and actual arcade machines.
Average Score: 80%

Dealer's Room:
(The size of the room, number of merchants, variety of merchandise, hours of operation, location, lighting, etc.)
The ACen dealer's room keeps on impressing with a variety of dealers, lots of space to walk, and a huge room to hold it.
Average Score: 91%

Artist Alley:
(The location and size of the alley, placement of the artists, variety of art, etc.)
Again, lots of room to walk, large space, good quality art and a nice variety.
Average Score: 86%


Overall:
(This is our entire con experience including all of the above and everything else that goes into a con weekend combined.)
Overall ACen was disappointing for most of us. Such a shame their tenth year was probably their worst.
Average Score: 55%
